The EMT Cannon boot is exceptionally effective for the treatment of shin splints as well as soft tissue damage to the suspensory and extensor apparatus. It is easily and quickly applied and is extremely comfortable for the horse. These wraps are especially helpful for the treatment of bowed tendons, splints, bucked shins, edema, ligament injuries and pre-warm up. Sold by the pair.
The only liniment recommended for us with EMT Therapeutic Products is Sore no More All boots velcro on and are made of breathable fabric.
EMTmagnets are +/- 500 gauss. Penetration and effectiveness is not only determined by gauss strength it is also determined by distance between the poles and configuration of the field lines. The BIOFlex magnets are the deepest penetrating magnets on the market when comparing strength to strength. The BIOFlex magnet is the only magnet on the market that is registered as a medical device with the FDA and Health Canada (the equalivant to our FDA)EMT use breathable fabrics on all our joint boots. The outside fabric is called Coastguard, a breathable, tough and durable fabric. The inside is microfleece 100. Thin but absorbent. It helps wick moister away from the skin but also allows you to sprinkle SNM onto it and then wicks it off onto the horses skin. EMT do not use neoprene because it holds heat. Plus the inside has to be thin because the more material between the horse and the magnet the less magnetic force gets to the horse. The reason EMT do not use air tight fabrics (neoprene or coated nylon) is because it holds the heat in. If a magnet really works it will increase heat. A horse's skin will blister easier then a human's skin. So if your magnet is working and it is behind neoprene or coated nylon the horse's skin should blister. That is why EMT use all breathable products for our joint boots. If you put the BIOFlex magnet behind neoprene you have a very good chance of blistering your animal's skin.
CAUTION "DO NOT":
If liniment or heat creating medicines have been used, wait 72 hours for medications to dissipate efore using these products. Wash animal several times during this time to help dissipate the medicines from the animal. START SLOWLY. NEVER PUT MAGENTS ON FOR THE FIRST TIME AND WALK AWAY FOR HOURS.
Wash boots on gentle cycle and line dry
